Despite the challenges and set-backs faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, BSAF 2020 was able to adapt its festival program to be delivered within the unique COVID-19 conditions.
Working tirelessly, the team behind BSAF 2020 continued to put forward one of the most extensive programs of public art that Australia has ever seen.
With a renewed focus on local and interstate artists, BSAF 2020 managed to go ahead with the majority of murals from its extensive program delivered. Apart from holding workshops under strict health guidelines, BSAF 2020 also went online for the first time to engage audiences in various live streamed events such as the Superordinary x BSAF takeover and Ipswich Switch Up Party.
Spread throughout the year, the festival became a celebration of all expressive art forms and a testimony to the agility, courage and dedication of the artists, partners and festival team.
