Beginning in 1999, Joel developed the ethos of a well-rounded graffiti writer; developing his signature semi-technical letter forms, hand styles and public pieces for fast execution where time was limited. Currently riding a wave of renewed passion for music (The Amity Affliction), graffiti and other visual art forms, Joel Birch is enjoying a resurgence. Joel’s practice connects with the lyrics and letter forms that he was drawn to at the beginning of his career.
