Sortwo

Born and raised in the Basque Country (Spain), a place he proclaims to be the inspiration for his desire to paint from a very young age. With an appreciation for street art developed from the many walls that decorate his neighborhood Sortwo has grown up with the passion for public art, sharing his craft like many street artists on any surface that begs for colour and life. He works with a variety of creative mediums, never limiting his imagination to just one style or technique. Sortwo’s surreal illustrations make us question our ordinary everyday lives, tripping into a landscape of wonderment. His primary medium is aerosol and acrylic.

Ruskidd

Ruskidd has been displaying his psychedelic works on Melbourne’s walls for around seven years, carving out a unique style with a heavy emphasis on flowing line work. His visuals are playful and constantly shoot references to palettes and patterns found in nature while exploring the relationship between colour and line.
His works have been seen covering the sides of warehouses and on display at the National Gallery of Victoria. Currently, Ruskidd is in residency at Blender studios where he has been expanding his practice experimenting with light and projection.

Scott Marsh

Marsh’s work explores the growing crossover between graffiti and high art, popular culture and the cult of the celebrity. Marsh pairs traditional motifs, elements of impressionism and pop with the pallet, scale & techniques associated with graffiti.
Spending his formative years exploring and painting throughout Sydney’s rail network, Marsh says “much of what I employ in terms of pallet, scale and the manner in which I paint comes from my background in graffiti”. The language of Graffiti is deeply personal to Marsh and the foundation of his style and practice. He finds graffiti to be as prolific as advertising, democratic, unsanctioned and accessible to all.

Adam Busby

My name is Adam Busby; I am a dual citizen of Australia and the United States of America. That’s right, two passports, like James Bond. I like to have fun and not take things too seriously, but don’t get me wrong, this is my business not a hobby so when it comes to the details I am like the wolf of Wall Street. That all being said, let’s make something amazing! Although the application, medium or situation may vary my goal is always the same: communicate, inspire and clarify. Whether editorial, large scale murals, animation or products my unique style of illustration cuts through the noise in a most appealing way. Large corporate campaigns to corner store start ups, the tactile and textuous illustrations that I produce are forward thinking and yet somehow familiar.

AMA

Anna Vu, better known by AMA was born in Sydney, Australia, and grew up in Brisbane. There, she became active in break-dancing and was introduced to street art at the age of 16. She graduated from Queensland College of Arts in 2012, majoring in painting and received a scholarship to study aboard in England. Since then she has developed her artist practice around the world, from painting in Berlin to tropical secluded spots in Thailand. She works with spray paint to tell a story about her experiences, feelings and places. Her free, in a “back to basic” primitive style creates colourful loose shapes scribbles and mark making. She is influenced by abstract expression, poster designs, textiles, calligraphy and various forms of music. Spending several months in Berlin, meeting artist from other countries, who are also blurring the lines of fine art, street art and mural practice, AMA has developed her natural ability to move toward simpler and deeper work.

VANGHOUA ANTHONY VUE

Vue’s eclectic practice recontextualises his Hmong heritage within his Australian upbringing and experiences. Focusing on Hmong history and traditions, Vue takes an abstract and autobiographical approach to his reinterpretation and reinvention through an array of materials, influences and processes. Among Vue’s practice are investigations of ‘The Other’ and their representation within nation-states, postmemory as mediated through faded visual forms and oral history, and the reinvention of cultural traditions to explore their continuing relevance and potential to be transformed and diversified into new cultural contexts.

Chris Mangos

Currently residing in Brisbane, I like to explore all forms of visual communication whether as a graphic designer or being commissioned for custom illustration/paint work. Creating artwork for bands and events has granted me the opportunity to try different methods and express different ideas through concepts fit for each job. My painting style consists of a mix of acrylic paint and ink, bright colours and sharp lines, illustrating contrasting subjects usually associating with mental well-being or social observations.
