BAMBUILD: Weaving with Bamboo

Bambuild is an annual installation project that showcases the creative, versatile and alternative uses of bamboo. Run by QUT School of Design student collective, The Dub, Bambuild is proud to present its 2017 project at ReForm.
Bamboo weaving has been used for screening and construction in many different ways across many different cultures, and is a technique used in Bambuild’s various projects as a form of architectural expression.
At this free and hands-on open studio workshop, participants are invited to learn a range of weaving techniques and bamboo preparation used by Bambuild to build its installation.
