Australia

From the rivers of Katherine to the ocean of the Gold Coast. I have always been immersed in mother nature in all her glory and I find all my inspiration from these amazing places of Australia. My Mob is from Turkey Creek, the Warmun region in Western Australia and we belong to the Gija people. I myself, was born in Katherine, one of the most beautiful regions of Australia, surrounded by magnificent rivers, vast wildlife and raging storms. I spent the majority of my youth swimming and playing in the sun, walking the untouched bush, camping in remote locations and fishing for fresh dinner. From my later teenage years, up until today, I have lived on the east coast of Australia. Within these years, I have explored islands, mountains and creeks. I have always found myself attracted to the water, where ever it flows. I am the only person in my family to use the medium of paint to express the
inner emotions of myself and to embrace my Aboriginal culture in this way. I started painting as I was continuously wanting to learn more about my culture and myself. My paintings are helping me find my culture and appreciate the beautiful country we live in more and more each day, they are helping me to express my story and your story through the beauty of visual arts.
