BAMBUILD: Weaving with Plants

Bambuild is an annual installation project that showcases the creative, versatile and alternative uses of bamboo. Run by QUT School of Design student collective, The Dub, Bambuild is proud to present its 2017 project at ReForm.
Alongside bamboo as a primary material for Bambuild, this project includes native Australian flora throughout the installation to demonstrate the practical and creative applications of these local materials.
At this free and hands-on open studio workshop, participants are invited to learn how to use native and local plant types and weaving techniques that were used in the Bambuild installation.
This is a drop-in workshop, no bookings required, but let us know you’re coming by joining the Facebook event.
